ATS Readability Check

kery.io ATS Readability Check shows a plain version of what applicant-tracking software is likely to pull from a resume you upload or paste. It is for job seekers, including people applying through Seek and other Australian boards. A free account includes 10 checks a week. It does not prove an employer will parse your file the same way.

Many resumes get rejected by computer software before a person ever reads them. Upload or paste your resume below to see what the software actually reads. If your name, dates, or skills are missing or wrong here, they may be missing in real job applications too.

This tool checks how well your resume can be read by ATS software and it does not guarantee your resume will be shortlisted, reviewed by a recruiter, or result in an interview or job offer.

Resumes submitted on this page are processed to generate your result and are not stored in your kery account. Resume text is sent to our AI provider to produce the check.

Quick tip before you upload

To get past the ATS, keep your resume plain. Use simple text and clean formatting. Fancy design often fails.

After you parse, save a PDF, press Ctrl+A, copy, and paste into Notepad. If it looks scrambled or bits are missing, many systems will not see your resume at all.

Your resume file

Upload a PDF or Word (.docx) file. We read the text, then build a clean ATS-style version.

Drop your resume here

PDF or Word (.docx). Old .doc files need to be saved as .docx first.

What "clean" means here

  • One column only
  • Normal fonts
  • No tables, text boxes, or graphics
  • No important details hidden in headers or footers
  • Dates as Month Year
  • Skills as a simple comma-separated list

What the parser sees

Boring on purpose. This is closer to how ATS software stores your details.

Upload a resume on the left, then click Parse my resume. The clean single-column version will show here.
