Resume Quick Tips
Think about your audience. Your resume has about maximum 30 seconds to make an impression, so make those 30 seconds count. Not sure what impression your resume is giving? Hand it to someone you know and ask them to read it for 30 seconds. Then ask them one simple question: “What impression do you get of me?” Their answer should be close to the type of candidate you want an employer to see. What does that mean in practice? Put your strongest and most relevant information up front. Make it obvious what you’re good at, what you’ve achieved and why you’re a strong fit for the role. If the important stuff is buried halfway down page two, there’s a good chance they’ll never get that far.
